About myself..
My name is Chad Steele and I develop things for the web. I believe in usability and accessibility in design. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Interactive Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Effects from The Savannah College of Art and Design. I draw a great deal of my inspiration from Tim Berners-Lee and the W3C as well as Jakob Nielsen and UseIt. My resume is available online, it's in PDF format. If you would like to contact me, my phone number and e-mail are listed at the bottom of this page.
Technical Skills..
I've worked extensively with HTML / XML and CSS to minimize load times and maximize usability. Using PHP and MySQL, I've created dynamic websites with custom content management systems. I've worked with several Flash libraries to create games, sites and interfaces that work on conjunction with PHP and MySQL. My undergraduate degree in Visual Effects gave me experience outside the standard track. In addition to the Adobe Suite, I have spent a great deal of time using Shake, Nuke, After Effects, Maya, 3D Studio Max, Z-Brush, Cinema 4D and Final Cut. While it might seem somewhat arbitrary, this experience builds upon my design and programming skills. Of course, while I do prefer the PC, I do use Apple and Linux operating systems.
